Fishing on the Estate

We have our own section of the River Calder, this has Brown Trout passing through and is a pleasant way for our guests to cast a few lines or maybe try fishing for the first time.

We hold a small selection of rods at the hotel and our guests are welcome to pick these up at any time and wander over to the loch for a cast.

Fishing is permitted up to the bridge where Stoneymeadow Road crosses the river to behind the Castle which is indicated on the map below.

This price includes; Pick up, permits, guide, qualified tuition (if required), tackle hire, breathable wader hire and photography from your day to keep as a souvenir. All within 1 hour 30 mins drive maximum. Pick up would be 7am/7:30am and drop offs 4pm/4:30pm.
