History and Culture Tour

Enjoy a day of Castles and Historic Homes

Your private driver-guide will collect you at your hotel reception to take you on a tour through the rolling landscapes of Ayrshire.

Through the day you will have the opportunity to learn about Scotland's national poet at his cottage, visit one of the country's grandest manor houses set in a stunning 2,000-acre estate, and wander the tropical gardens of Culzean Castle, perched on a cliff edge. You will visit Ayr, a lovely seaside town, complete with charming sea front, leafy suburbs and range of places to eat.

The town has a fantastic esplanade with a long sandy beach which is perfect for a peaceful walk.

From discovering the city's museums, to walk through Kelvingrove Park, a beautiful and peaceful city central park, which provide solace from the bustling city streets, or getting under the skin of Glasgow’s trendy side by visiting Byres Road and Ashton Lane, where you’ll find local pubs and fantastic restaurants bustling with locals, it'll be a day filled with exciting exploration.

Chatelherault Park

Chatelherault Country Park is a Five Star Visitor Attraction that was once described as a 'Jewel in the Landscape'. Built in 1732 as a Hunting Lodge and Summer House for the Dukes of Hamilton.

The restored buildings now house a Visitor Centre; the West Lodge comprising of the Banqueting Hall and Duke and Duchess Apartments; Exhibition Gallery and Displays; Gift Shop and Café. Outside, visitors can explore 10 miles of walks along the scenic River Avon and through ancient woodland.
