History and Culture Tour

Enjoy a day of Castles and Historic Homes

Your private driver-guide will collect you at your hotel reception to take you on a tour through the rolling landscapes of Ayrshire.

Through the day you will have the opportunity to learn about Scotland's national poet at his cottage, visit one of the country's grandest manor houses set in a stunning 2,000-acre estate, and wander the tropical gardens of Culzean Castle, perched on a cliff edge. You will visit Ayr, a lovely seaside town, complete with charming sea front, leafy suburbs and range of places to eat.

The town has a fantastic esplanade with a long sandy beach which is perfect for a peaceful walk.

Scotch Whisky Tour

Compare Highlands and Lowlands Whisky

Through the day you will enjoy an in-depth local insight into the process behind producing Scotland’s famous golden spirit. The contrasts between today’s distilleries will provide an taster of the vast range of whiskies available in Scotland and the differences in the distilling processes.

Along your journey you will pass through two of Scotland’s most historically important cities, Glasgow and Stirling, skirt the Trossachs National Park, and venture into three local distilleries.

Enjoy a tour and tasting at a Highland and Lowland distillery as well as a Malt Master Experience at a third distillery where you will create your own whisky by assuming the role of Honorary Malt Master, who is in charge of balancing the flavours from different casks.

A Taste of the Trossachs

Today is all about the scenery as you traverse dramatic mountain ranges, pass through Scotland's first National Park, and witness lands that have inspired, artists, poets and song writers for centuries and, more recently, film and series makers.

The Trossachs, Scotland's first national park covers 720 square miles of lochs, glens, and mountains, boasting unparalleled biodiversity. Rivers are clear, ospreys still soar above ancient deciduous trees, and squirrels are bright flashes of red, not grey.

You’ll have the chance to taste some of Scotland’s best local produce at Monachyle Mhor for lunch, including beed, lamb, venison and pork from the Mhor farm.

Experience Scotland’s Wild Coast

Take the ferry across the Firth of Clyde to the Isle of Arran and discover the rugged landscapes, ancient history and picturesque villages of the island often referred to as “Scotland in Miniature”.

Divided into highland and lowland areas, you will encounter dramatic mountain peaks, stunning beaches as well as dramatic castles.

You’ll have the chance to visit Brodick Castle with its stunning gardens, woodlands and waterfalls, as well as sampling some of Scotland’s famous golden spirit at a local distillery.
